The Mountain Goat is a locally owned and run outfitter located just five minutes from the Appalachian Trail in southern Vermont. In 2011 we are celebrating our 24th year of offering the finest in outdoor clothing and gear for serious adventurers and casual wanderers alike. Although we love our website and like to receive online orders, we encourage you to call us or e-mail us with any product or outdoor-related questions that you may have. Better yet, if you're in the area stop in and see us. There is still nothing in the business world to rival the power of person-to-person contact.

Finding Us: The Mountain Goat is located at the intersection of Rts. 11/30 and Route 7A North in Manchester Center, Vermont. We are diagonally across the intersection from the Northshire Bookstore.

"Sister" Stores: Although we are not directly affiliated with the other Mountain Goat locations (Hanover, NH, Williamstown, MA and Northampton, MA), we do share a love for the outdoors and the experience of years of expert outfitting with these "sister" stores. As we are separate stores, we are not able to accept returns of items purchased at other Mountain Goat locations. Please make all returns to the store where the product was originally purchased.
